New Blog, everybody!

Hey, everybody. It's Rachel, I made a new blog for a new school year! I know you probably don't have an account on here, but I wanted to give a google tool a try (because google is the best), so this is my LAST SCHOOL YEAR'S blog! ...I promised myself I wouldn't cry...

Anyway, this one's public, so nothing extreme will be here. Sorry. I might use my old livejournal for that.

As of today, I have quit neopets for good! I self-froze my account because I thought that I was spending way too long on it. And I was, anyway. That was why I was on the computer all day.

I sent my teachers the idea for the school newspaper, but apparently they were already planning on doing a student newspaper! Oh, well. I still would love to be the editor; it's my dream job (of course, that is subject to change any hour at a time).

I got reading glasses today, too. They should help me read faster. They aren't very nice, but I got them at the dollar store, so mom says that she'll buy me a new pair for later if I still don't like them.

I also got new running shoes! They're men's, but that's what all of my shoes are in. And they aren't as big as I thought they would be; they're 9 1/2 men's. Maybe I can join the new track team this year! Mom says that my legs give me an unfair advantage. Oh, well - I've never been in an organized sport and it will look great on my application to Westwood IB.

Plus, I was going to go for student council treasurer. Ben, tell your brother to watch his back.

I'm off to Olympia, Washington in three days to visit my cousin Rosie (she'll be on broadway some day), her brother Leo, her mom Nancy, her dad Steve, my aunt Kitty, her partner Liza, my uncle Andy, my cousins Miles, Gina, and Emme, their mom Valerie, and my grandma Ruby. I can't wait! But my mom is jealouse. Which I don't want for her to be.

Do any people know of a website where I can volunteer to make websites for non profit organizations? I want to use my HTML skills for something good.
